Working with the national EV Challenge program and educators from Discovery Place, the students will convert the vehicle over a four-day period in the Mayor’s Legacy Village, located adjacent to the Harvey B. Gantt Center.

The conversion will kick off during CarolinaFest, the family-friendly, community celebration that launches Democratic National Convention in Charlotte. The public is invited to visit with the students throughout the week to observe the conversion process.

When the vehicle is complete, it will be driven to Discovery Place and plugged into the electric vehicle charging station located in the Museum’s Parking Deck.
