Haunted Trail opens to the public |

The Town of Matthews has a new event for Halloween. The Camp Squirrel Lake Haunted Trail opens to the public tonight.

The new trail will take visitors on the spooky twists and turns around the lake, where spirits and creatures haunt the park.

Camp Squirrel Lake is located at 1631 Pleasant Plains Road. The Haunted Trail is open October 19, 20, and 27th from 6pm-10pm.

The trail is recommended for anyone over the age of 10 who is not afraid of the dark, or the otherworld.

Admission is $2. Proceeds benefit local charities.
